Privacy Policy
FeltIt for iOS · Last updated 17 August 2026
FeltIt does not operate any servers, does not require an account, and contains no analytics, advertising, or third-party tracking code. Information you enter is stored on your device and, if iCloud sync is enabled, in the private database of your own Apple Account, which the developer cannot access.
FeltIt reads data from Apple Health with your permission. It does not write to Apple Health. Health data is not used for advertising or marketing and is not disclosed to third parties.
1. Scope and contact
FeltIt is an iOS application developed and published by Emad Rahman, an independent developer based in Canada ("the developer"). This policy describes how the FeltIt iOS application and its Home Screen widgets handle information.
Enquiries regarding this policy may be sent to developer.emadrahman@gmail.com.
2. Information the application stores
FeltIt stores three categories of information, each generated on your device:
- Information you enter. The body regions you record, the severity and sensation type you select, whether a region has been marked as resolved, any notes you write, and the date and time of each entry.
- Health data you have authorised the application to read. Subject to your explicit permission, FeltIt reads six categories from Apple Health: workouts, sleep analysis, heart rate variability (SDNN), resting heart rate, respiratory rate, and step count. Access is requested on a read-only basis; the application does not write data to Apple Health.
- Application settings. Preferences such as the selected theme, which insight sections are displayed, and which notifications are enabled.
The application does not request or store your name, email address, telephone number, date of birth, precise location, contacts, photographs, or any government or health-system identifier.
3. Storage locations
- On the device. Information is stored in an application container on your iPhone, subject to iOS file protection and your device passcode. The Home Screen widgets read a summary of this information from the same on-device container.
- In your iCloud account, where sync is enabled. When iCloud sync is enabled in the application's settings, entries and settings are synchronised through Apple's CloudKit service to the private database of your own Apple Account. This storage is under your control. The developer has no access to it. Apple's processing of that data is governed by the Apple Privacy Policy. Where iCloud sync remains disabled, information is not transmitted from the device.
4. Information not collected
The application contains no analytics framework, advertising framework, crash-reporting software development kit, social login, or third-party software library. It makes no network requests of its own, and no server is operated by the developer in connection with it.
Accordingly, the developer does not receive your entries, notes, Apple Health data, usage of the application, IP address, or any device identifier.
Health and fitness data is not used for advertising, marketing, or data mining, and is not sold, rented, or disclosed to third parties.
5. Purchases
FeltIt Pro is sold through Apple's In-App Purchase system. Apple processes the transaction, and payment details are handled solely by Apple. They are not transmitted to, accessible by, or stored by the developer or the application. Purchase status is verified on your device through Apple's StoreKit framework.
Apple provides the developer with aggregated sales and financial reports covering units sold, revenue, and country. These reports do not identify individual customers.
6. Crash reports and diagnostics
Where you have enabled the Share With App Developers setting under Settings › Privacy & Security › Analytics & Improvements on your iPhone, Apple may provide the developer with crash logs and performance data relating to FeltIt. This information is collected and supplied by Apple rather than by the application, and Apple states that it is not associated with your identity. The setting may be disabled at any time in iOS.
The application also maintains a diagnostic log on the device, accessible under Settings › Debug › Logs. It remains on the device and is not transmitted.
7. Notifications
All notifications issued by FeltIt — post-workout logging prompts, heads-up alerts, the morning briefing, and follow-up check-ins — are composed and scheduled on the device by iOS. Their content is not transmitted to any server. The application does not send marketing or promotional notifications.
8. Support correspondence
If you contact support by email, the developer receives your email address, the content of your message, and, where the Contact Support function within the application was used, the application version and build number, device model, and iOS version inserted automatically. This text is displayed for review and may be edited before sending.
Such correspondence is used solely to respond to your enquiry and is retained in the developer's email provider's mailbox. It is not used for any mailing list.
9. Managing and deleting your information
- Individual entries may be edited or deleted within the application at any time.
- Health access may be withdrawn in the Apple Health application under Sharing › Apps, or under Settings › Privacy & Security › Health. The application ceases reading new data immediately.
- iCloud sync may be disabled in the application's settings, retaining information on the device only.
- Deleting the application removes its entire local store from the device.
- The iCloud copy may be removed under iOS Settings › [your name] › iCloud › Manage Account Storage.
As no copy of this information is held by the developer, these steps constitute complete deletion.
10. Retention
Information is retained on your device, and in your iCloud account where sync is enabled, until you delete it. The application does not expire or automatically delete entries. No copy is retained by the developer.
11. Children
FeltIt is not directed at children and is not intended for use by persons under 13 years of age. The application does not transmit information to the developer, and information from children is not knowingly collected.
12. Your rights
Canada. Under the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA), you have the right to access personal information held about you by an organisation, to request correction of that information, and to make a complaint to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada. The only personal information held by the developer is the content of support correspondence you elect to send.
United Kingdom and European Economic Area. Where you are located in the United Kingdom or the EEA, the UK GDPR and the GDPR provide rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, objection, and data portability, together with the right to lodge a complaint with your national supervisory authority. As the application processes information solely on your device and within your own iCloud account, these rights are exercised directly through the application and through iOS.
California. Where you are a California resident, the CCPA and CPRA provide rights to know what personal information is collected, to request its deletion or correction, and not to be subject to discrimination for exercising those rights. The developer does not collect, sell, or share personal information as those terms are defined by that legislation.
To exercise any of these rights in respect of support correspondence, contact developer.emadrahman@gmail.com.
13. Changes to this policy
Where FeltIt's handling of information changes, this page will be updated and the date shown above revised. Material changes will additionally be noted in the application's release notes. The current version of this policy is accessible within the application under Settings › About › Privacy Policy.
