What Now Support
How to reach the developer, and answers to common questions about What Now for iPhone.
developer.emadrahman@gmail.com
Emails are answered by the developer, usually within a few business days. Contact Support in Settings › About fills in the app version, device model, and iOS version for you, which helps with any problem.
Common questions
The Live Activity doesn't appear
Check that What Now has Full Access in iOS Settings › Privacy & Security › Calendars, and that Live Activities are on in iOS Settings › Apps › What Now. The Live Activity appears an hour before your first event, or at the time you choose with Pro, and ends after a gap of more than four hours. All-day events don't count.
The Live Activity is out of date
Tap the critter on the Lock Screen to check your calendar again, or open the app. Keeping Background App Refresh on in iOS Settings › Apps › What Now helps it stay current on its own. Events added on another device show up once your calendar has synced them to your iPhone.
An event is missing
What Now shows events you've accepted or made yourself. With Pro, you can also include "Maybe" events and unanswered invitations under Settings › Filters. Also check that the event's calendar is chosen, that none of your Hidden Keywords is in its title, and that its eye button in the agenda isn't crossed out.
There's no Join button
One-tap Join is part of What Now Pro. The call link has to be in the event's URL, location, or notes. Zoom, Google Meet, Microsoft Teams, Webex, FaceTime, Slack, Whereby, Jitsi, Chime, and GoTo links are recognized.
My Pro purchase isn't recognized
Open Settings › What Now Pro and tap Restore Purchase. Make sure your iPhone is signed in to the Apple Account you bought Pro with: purchases belong to the Apple Account, not the device.
Deleting your data
What Now keeps only its settings on your iPhone, and deleting the app removes them. Your calendar itself is never changed. If you'd rather not send anonymous usage counts, turn off Share Anonymous Usage in the app under Settings › About. The privacy policy has the details.
Reporting a problem
Say what you did, what happened, and what you expected, and use Contact Support in the app so the version and device details come along. A screenshot of the Lock Screen helps with anything about how the Live Activity looks.
