Chooser Support

How to reach the developer, and answers to common questions about Chooser for iPhone and iPad.

Emails are answered by the developer, usually within a few business days. Mentioning your device model and iOS version helps with any problem.

Common questions

Choose doesn't pick anyone

A round needs at least two fingers on the screen. Keep them down until the countdown finishes; lifting or adding a finger restarts it. An iPhone tracks up to five fingers at once, so for bigger groups use an iPad. On iPad, four- and five-finger system gestures can end a round early: you can turn them off in iOS Settings › Multitasking & Gestures.

There's no sound

Chooser's sounds follow your device's Ring/Silent switch and volume, like other game sounds. Check that Sounds is on in Chooser's Settings, that your device isn't silenced, and that the volume is up.

The coin or stars move when I tilt my device

That's a parallax effect. Turning off Stars in Chooser's Settings removes the star field and its movement.

My names, results, or tournament are gone

Everything you add to Chooser is kept only on your device, so it's removed if the app is deleted, and it doesn't sync between devices. It comes back only if you restore a backup made while it was there.

Adding the Coin Flip widget

Touch and hold an empty area of your Home Screen, tap Edit, then Add Widget, and choose Chooser. Tap the widget to flip the coin.

Turning off anonymous usage counts

Chooser sends anonymous counts of which features get used, never your names or results. Turn this off in Chooser under Settings › Privacy › Share Anonymous Usage. The privacy policy has the details.

Reporting a problem

Say what you did, what happened, and what you expected, along with your device model and iOS version. A screenshot or screen recording helps with anything about how a screen looks or moves.
